03/10/2011 All Day Event Karting with Oxford Region Do you want a challenge?

The Oxford region have invited us to an Edurance Karting event in their region. They are convinced that they are the better drivers. Can we prove them wrong?

This is only a potential event at the moment as is completely dependant on numbers of people. No prices as yet, but I would expect them to reflect other Karting endurance prices.

15/05/2011 8th PRESCOTT HILL CLIMB OPEN CLASSIC CAR EVENT Cheltenham Cleeve Vale Rotary Club invites classic car owners to an event to be held on the weekend of 14th and 15th May 2011. The event is open to all pre-1980s vehicles but exceptions may be made at the discretion of the organisers for particularly interesting vehicles.

Sunday15th will be devoted to display and driving the famous hill, with passengers if you wish, in marshalled but un-timed runs. Un-timed runs eliminate the need for crash helmets and the full gamut of safety equipment etc. However vehicles must have valid road tax, MOT and insurance documentation. The Paddock entry fee is £46 per vehicle [inclusive of 2 runs up the hill all passengers and a souvenir programme]. Entries are limited to 200. Additional runs, if available, will be £5 each.

As before we will also be having a static display in a designated area of the Orchard for classic, vintage and special vehicles. For those who wish we will also be repeating the gentle cavalcades up the hill so that vehicles can be displayed in motion to the attending public. We feel this significantly enhances the presentation of the superb range of vehicles expected. The Orchard [static] entry fee is £18 per car which includes all passengers , a free programme and a cavalcade drive up the hill. Block bookings by Clubs will be particularly welcome and we will endeavour to park such groups together.

On Saturday 14th we are offering a 60 mile Cotswold tour[£15], with a break at Prescott, where you will be able to buy lunch at the Club House. The starting point is yet to be decided.
Spectators will be welcome on the Sunday at £15 per car with free parking, souvenir programme and pedestrian access to the Paddock etc.

All profits will go to Charities supported by Rotary and in order to maximise this, we are asking for your cooperation to treat the entry fees as donations to charity under gift aid so that we can reclaim tax.

16/04/2011 All Day Event Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival The ninth BIAMF will take place on Saturday, April 16th 2011 and entries are arriving daily from an interesting variety of makes and models. As usual it will be located on closed roads in the historic Old City area of Bristol and this year Ferrari and Benelli will be our featured marques. Neither of these manufacturers will need any introduction to Italian transport enthusiasts and there will also be the usual wide cross-section of other Italian cars, motorcycles and scooters, with some rarities to be found within the streets which make up the display areas. Indeed, one of the consistent attractions of this event for entrants and spectators alike is the sheer diversity to be found among the 400+ exhibits.

Spectator Information: The show runs from 10.30am to around 4.00pm and spectator access on foot is free. It takes place on and around Corn Street in the historic Old City area, adjacent to the fascinating St Nicholas Market. There is plenty to see and do for the less car-orientated and the modern shopping areas are also not far away. Various car parks are within walking distance of the site and buses also stop in the surrounding area, the bus station itself being not too distant. Temple Meads train station is also within walking distance, but various bus routes run from there to the Centre and there are also three Park & Ride services from points around the City. The show streets and the Market have many eating and drinking places and in addition to those found in these, public toilets are located in the side access to the Market.

18/09/2010 Rally Day Rally Day is back at Castle Combe

Conceived and evolved by rally enthusiasts, Rallyday is an annual show which gives visitors a chance to enjoy the spectacle of seeing a wide range of rally cars, and rally stars, in an open and spectator friendly environment. It comprises live action on the track with static displays in the paddock, and has something to offer everyone from the rally enthusiast to a family looking for an enjoyable day out.

On track action comes in the form of professional driving demonstrations, track sessions, rally car rides, circuit parades and a feature rally car stage. Off track there are a host of displays where visitors can have a close look at some of the worlds most iconic rally cars, which have made rallying history through the years.

The paddock sees action revolving around the main event stage, where guests are interviewed. There are also numerous trade exhibitors ranging from major car manufacturers , to individual specialists offering a diverse array of rally merchandise.

Rallyday Interactive is where visitors can go further than just spectate. Whether it be a rally simulator, radio controlled rally car races or a full-on white knuckle ride in a rally car, there are many activities for people to participate in.
